# What is Tooli?

> Tooli is an AI platform designed to support daily work in Belgian construction. This page explains what Tooli does, how it works, and what you can expect when using it.

## Tooli

Tooli is an AI platform that helps with day-to-day work in Belgian construction.

You can use Tooli to ask questions, understand documents, and clarify technical information related to your projects. It is designed to save time and reduce administrative work.

  AI stands for "artificial intelligence".
  It is a new type of computer software that can understand and respond to questions and information in a way that we think is intelligent (but by a computer program: Artificially), and is the basis of tools like ChatGPT.

  The most common use of AI, in Tooli and ChatGPT, works through conversation. You ask a question, attach a photo or document, get an answer, and can ask follow-up questions. This makes it very useful for tasks like (re)reading, rewriting, translating, and analysing documents or images. For example, you can give a large document, and ask for a summary, or you can ask for an explanation of a technique or material.

  AI is very flexible, but also has limits. It supports your work, but it does not replace professional judgement or an expert.
